Programs Sub-Committee (PSC) considers and endorses amendments to program requirements resulting from changes to current programs and program requirements for proposed new programs. It is the role of PSC to ensure that program requirements are drafted to clearly express the intent of the program concerned, and that they comply with the relevant University policies.

PSC reports to the Committee for Academic Programs Policy (CAPP).

Terms of Reference

The role of the Programs Sub-Committee (PSC) is to:

  • Consider and advise on the creation of, and changes to, program requirements where they affect the structural components/composition of the program. Program requirements include the courses to be taken to complete the program and any other specific conditions of the program including enrolment and progression requirements. Program requirements also include all requirements set out in the former ‘program rules’
  • Ensure program requirements:
    • clearly express the intent of the program concerned;
    • are well drafted; and
    • comply with relevant University policies and procedures.

    • Deputy President of the Academic Board (Chair)
    • President of the Academic Board
    • Associate Director, Student Conduct and Integrity, Policy and Programs (or nominee)
  • Nominated:
    • three associate deans (academic) (or academic nominee) nominated by the President of the Academic Board
    • three faculty senior administration managers nominated by the Academic Registrar

The six nominated positions must include a representative from each faculty.
